WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I JOIN?

  • On the FB Serve Track page and/or Serve Track GroupMe, the Volunteer Coordinator will be posting opportunities and/or reaching out to you to see if you would like to sign up to serve for a particular event/volunteer opportunity.
  • You can sign up for as many or as little volunteer opportunities as you have time for! It’s very flexible!
  • You CAN sign up for dates to serve ahead of time! For example… If you want to serve as a Palmer House barista on a bi-weekly basis every Wednesday, you can do that!
  • You CAN commit to a recurring serve opportunity, or sign up twice a quarter! It’s up to you and how much time you want to invest!

WHAT AM I COMMITTING TO WHEN I SIGN UP FOR THE SERVE TRACK?

  • The hope is that you would choose 2-3 areas of volunteering within the serve track and actively sign up to volunteer throughout the year for
  • No meetings! Just serve when you want to!
  • You can sign up for as many or as little volunteer opportunities as you have time for! It’s very flexible!
  • It’s a great way to build community (meeting new people you’re serving alongside), serve the INN community, and give back to the INN community with your time/talents, and — all without the recurring commitments!
  • The SL Trainings, Pre-INN Prayer, and Serve Team Socials are all optional. You can totally join if you would like, but it’s not required. The retreat is only for Ambassadors and Student Interns.

WHO WOULD SIGN UP FOR THE SERVE TRACK?

  • Anyone!
  • Examples:
    • If you’re a committed YoungLife/WyldLife Leader but still want to invest into the INN community
    • If you’re a freshmen looking for ways to meet people and get opportunities to serve the INN community
    • If you’re a senior with a job/internship and you feel overcommitted… you don’t have the time to do the student internship… but still want a way to pour back into the INN community and stay involved
    • LITERALLY any student that wants to be the hands and feet of Jesus within our INN community

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM LAST YEAR?

  • We didn’t have this opportunity last year! This is a NEW structure! The hope is that this is a great opportunity for students that want to serve the INN community, but don’t have the time opportunity of committing to the ambassador track
  • We want to launch you into where the Lord is calling you– but still keep you connected to The INN community
